CFH/HIC

The Head Injury Criterion Test (HIC), or Critical Fall Height (CFH) Test, measures the likelihood of head injury.

The HIC/CFH impact test uses a Triax 2010 device that drops a 10 lbs. hemisphere projectile (curved like a human head) from increasing heights and measures the impact. The higher the Critical Fall Height, the better the surface. All of FieldTurf’s Play-Safe Systems come with an 8’ CFH or 12’ CFH rating.
